...horrible... what does the head look like?...

Needs the spark plug extracted, new seat and spot of welding but could be worse.

Going to make a shelf with the catchy title of "Opfergaben an Götter der Geschwindigkeit" ( offerings to Gods of Speed).

No idea of the track limits personally - but a stern warning at riders briefing with the threat of starting under a yellow flag till the leaders reach the back straight might help.
Actually in yea, these many years of going to levels I don't think I've seen more than one or two off at turn one from the start. Certainly from the front row you're not going that quick at turn in. From the back, you've got time to see what's happened.

I would encourage all riders to limit their footprint in the pits, if yo can get rid of surplus vehicles, trailers early on it will make life a lot easier for all, as is they are struggling for PA coverage for the pits which is needed to inform the riders of the goings on, pass the word on too.
Maybe Triplenut can give us heads up onto where to put your trailers etc?

Good point Spyda,
we have asked riders to limit pits to a 5m frontage or 6m if shared with another rider.
Surplus cars and trailer can be parked on the entrance side of the office complex around the back spectator area.
We have also put an area aside for pits with large campers/trucks/buses etc.
There are various areas reserved for sponsors and the NZCMRR crew.
A pit map will be emailed in the final newsletter tomorrow.

To assist at the far end of the pits we have an additional PA system hooked up so everyone can hear.

Entry list is closer to 300 .... a certain President may have counted one class twice :tugger:

Re Grid sizes, max is 45 . We have two race groups at the limit and 3-4 others in the high 30's.
We are more worried about a stalled machine at the front, a back marker could be doing 120+ by the time they get to the front of the grid.
Riders briefing both written and verbal will detail the required care in big grids.
But as Grumph said first turn pile ups are pretty rare.

Cheers

well what can we say ? bloody awesome event!!!! the weather was over the top from Thursday through sunday...
some of the best looking machinery I have seen in a long time, and people took the time to explain all about their bikes to anyone who wanted to know. all the riders were grinning like mad men all weekend.
one of the most laid back events you will ever attend. the organizing team did a great job and spyda was in great form all weekend,
the special guests were more than happy to have a laugh and a joke with anyone and signed more hats , posters and shirts than you could shake a stick at!!!!!!!!
thanks to all the flaggies who stood around in 35 degree heat looking after all the riders . could not do this without you.:clap::clap:

$10 entry fee, free trackside parking and program (on Sunday) with $10 t-shirts on sale and cold drinks available also make it an event worth supporting. I enjoyed it that much I'm thinking of emigrating. What a cracker of a track!

Well all I can say is thanks to all organisers and everyone for the encorgement and advise while I was trying to get my bloody bike going after it decided on the way up to shit itself in the trailer.

Special thanks to the organisers for letting me out on many warm up laps for other classes to test if I had fixed it.
