Yamaha GTS1000 wanted...

G'day from Sydney. Hope I placed this question in the right place.
If not, please delete and advice me where....

Hi all..
Some time ago I was chatting with a Kiwi that was selling a complete gts1000.
I'm really just need an engine but it works out cheaper to purchase the bike,ship it over and grab the parts I need.

I've somehow lost contact over the past few months. ( Had to drop the idea once the wife found out)..))....

Does anybody know who was selling the gts? It was beatup but ran......

keep an eye on trademe.co.nz there is sometimes GTS1000 for sale on there. I also seem to recall the motor is the same as the FZ1000 just 'detuned' a bit.

The FZ motors are not fuel injected and from what I have read, it is. A nightmare with all the computers the gts has....

was thinking most of the internals would be a straight fit/replacement for the motor. you might even be able to 'bolt on' the injectors to the FZ motor??

I'm also looking for a GTS, but in my case I'd ideally want everything *except* the engine. (I fancy trying an electric conversion) When I get one and am ready to swap it out I'll let you know.
Alternatively if you find one in NZ and still want just the engine, perhaps we could work something out.
