Hey everyone, recently moved back home to NZ from Perth and brought with me my 2014 Z1000, looking for group country rides either through the week or on the weekends to meet new people and see some sights, where do I look and or any recommendations greatly appreciated!!!
Can't wait to hit some twisties!!!

None at all now, once upon a time there were rides posted every weekend. It all went a bit weird in 2009 after frequent accidents (and a few deaths) were occurring on some rides.
Then someone decided it'd be a good idea to collate some bullet points on group rides etiquette and hold the organisers accountable, should anything go wrong. Link below.
There use to be regular regional rides, BOP/Manawatu/Hawkes Bay and Auckland but they all ceased for what ever reason.

Bayride Motorcycles in Cameron road hold regular weekend rides. Look them up on FB.

This site is more about discussion than organising rides. You have joined several years to late for that sort of carry on.

The biggest ride I attended some years ago was about 70 bikes, it took two hours just get the lunch meals out. That was ridiculous amount of bikes but it was pretty well organised with no accidents...If you get 3-4 bikes together then that is good number. The organisation is easy, the planning is easy and the ride will be easy and enjoyable...pleasing the masses can be a mind fuck.
