Took the bike out for a decent photo. I'm liking the way this bike looks.

1998 900 Supersport. 904cc air cooled twin. Only 2 valves per cylinder too. Just about makes 80 horsepower on a good day.

Thanks for the welcome.

She's happy enough with a V6 Outlander for the moment. Tried to get the ankle biters into dirt bikes but they're not that interested yet.

Tried one before buying the carbie 900 Supersport - didn't quite get on with the riding position and the diamond-shaped tank on the later model.

Glad to hear you're having a good time on it.

Yeah, I used to have a 1997 600ss which I was able to throw around quite a bit. This is a little less agile and a bit more gutsy. It came with some spacers for the handlebar position. I've taken half of them off. May yet remove the last bit before too long. The bike hasn't done much in the last few years going by the registration documents. I've put about 700km on it in the last week. Tomorrow it's off to the local bike mechanic for fork seal replacement, new belts and new hydraulic fluid in the brake and clutch lines. Might as well get an oil and filter change while I'm at it.

Cheapest bit of the whole job.
