I'm looking at getting a second DR-Z so I can ride with my son this summer.

I've found one on trademe that looks good - it has the road kit - but it has not been registered before.

It has a VIN plate and number.

It has had a WoF in the past - WoF shows the VIN number, not a plate number - and has expired.

The current owner does NOT have the MR2A form.

Anyone know how easy it will be to get legal for the road - hints and tips gratefully received.

Thanks

Get a statutory declaration from a JP to confirm you own it, a brake declaration from a suzuki shop, then go to VTNZ and get it registered.

I think you can certify your own brake rotors etc, you just have to show you measured them and they are in spec.

If in CHCH, go to VTNZ Lichfield St, Ian is very helpful there.
