I'm going overseas on Sunday 8th, back on Fri 13th.

Wondering if it's practical to park a bike at the airport and stash my riding gear somewhere.

Is there cheap parking at the airport ?
Lockers available ?

Aeroparks have told me they will let me park my bike, stash my gear and shuttle me to the airport.
Haven't found out what their parking charge is so far.
It's $60 if I take my car.

I often see bikes parked in the short stay car park across the road from the domestic terminal. They are usually not in car spaces either. Park there and walk to international? Not sure about lockers though

I use the parking in the short stay opposite the domestic terminal most weekends and it is fine. The bikes park in the areas at the end of the parking rows so you're not depriving the cagers of any spots. It's under cover and FOC too. As for your gear - Good question well asked. I have a top box but even then I get some slightly odd looks in the Koru lounge.

Used Koru valet parking in Christchurch a few times.

One of the parking guys used to ride bikes so he'd take care of it, used to leave my helmet and gloves for him to use. Kept the jacket and boots on so that wasn't an issue. Stuffed the over trousers in a bag on the pillon as it was always parked somewhere secure.

When he left I started going to the yard where they park the vehicles and they would give me a lift to the terminal, and obviously give me a lift when I got back. Again left the gear with the bike as it was in a safe compound.

Charged me the same as a car so it's no cheaper I'm afraid.
