The TM28 pumper slide carb on my DRZ250 seems to need a lot of force at the throttle. The issue seems to be a too heavy gauge return spring on the main shaft. Cables move freely, throttle has no binding. Anybody know if this is a common complaint or of any fixes.

The only bikes i have used with tm28s were all 2 strokes and i never noticed they were heavy.
But Four strokes tend to have strong return springs to prevent them sucking the throttle open on over run.
i would say the cable has been kinked or needs oiling.

Rode one yesterday, seemed fine to me, it's lighter than the TM28 on my Bucket
If you're doing Amberley swing past home on the way back and compare, I'll be up there on my RMX #83 and Jumbo Transit van

It wasn't too bad, just that stretch in the bottom of the gully, bike took a fair bit of cleaning though
