I'd be happy enough with the 750 - shorter, lighter (that 1200 is 194kg) and a closer relative to the race bike. I read a CYCLE WORLD tech analysis of the FTR750 motor and Kevin Cameron said it was built like a street bike engine with longevity and ease of service in mind... as compared to the Harley engine which had basically reached the end of its development life and required a full rebuild every meeting.
anyway that bike I really like.

Yeah they're very cool. Still think the XR750 is cooler to look at...but def past it's use by date.

A lot of the bikes were "concepts" so who knows if they will translate to reality.
There was a useful Honda 2018 CB1000R and an elegant concept litre cafe racer.
Kawasaki had a cool(ish) looking cafe racer version of their retro 900, all in green.
