Pretty feckin sexy I must say! Looks the schiss alright...

Downside...

Costs heaps
Seat is way tall
Pillion is way wide
Luggage capacity? Um the backrest/luggage thingy is very clever but 5kg? eh?
Fat front tyre looks cool but would be horrid in the gravel methinks

Upside

Looks cool.
Looks useable
Looks FUN

You mean the Ulysses?
I've read a few reports now, from real people in real-life conditions, and all were complimentary.

Damned if I know.. it was an XB X or summat. Didn't hang about cos if you stay too long they try and sell it to you and I'm feeling a bit vunerable at the moment...

Cheers

Yep thats what it is. The Ulysses. That bike was born from the streched XB's that Buell had to make because the american market couldn't fit on the normal XB range. :killingme

Or, yip. Lets add some ride height, change the front mud gaurd an' we got a trailie boy.

I agree though it does look cool. Even if I would have one of the original XB range(hmmmm... firebolt ...hmmmm).

There'll be one at the Open Day. It's $19,995.00, not bad for a well thought out tourer.
The luggage rack can be used as a back rest, there are power outlets for rider and pillion. It has a quick detachable screen.
And it's mine for a couple of days.

Well it is the 1200 donk so that makes sense. The 900's don't have that.

This thing is turning into a barrel of laughs, it wants to wheelie off the throttle all the time. It's got miles of cornering clearance and the V2 feels gruntier and smoother than in other Buells I've ridden.
The suspension is a good blend of plush and control, I could see a good rider giving sprotbikes a hurry up in the twisty's and with standard sprotbike size tyres there's a huge range of sticky rubber available. The seat is a bit plank-like, I haven't been on it for more than a 1/2 hour at a time so perhaps it gets better with time.
It's just the stratospheric seat height that's causing a bit of discomfort at the mo'.
It's a tad embarrasing to have to stop next to kerbs so I can get a foot flat on the ground.
Buell have a set of hard luggage available now, either a 2 or 3 box set, price is a bit more than Givi but less than most manufacturers luggage.
This might have to go on the lotto list too.
