View Full Version : Plastic tank repair / replacement. Help needed! PE 400.

I'm posting on behalf of a mate who has resurrected his 1981 Suzuki PE 400X. The tank has suffered crazing and is proving impossible to seal. Are their any products available to repair it? The curve along the lower part of the tank is the problem, the plastic is quite fragile and leaking.
Even betterer, does any member have one lying in their shed? Apparently the PE 250 tank of the same vintage fits.
Any help much appreciated. This is the last hurdle before the old beast can be released into the wild again.

His stock list shows 2x slightly earlier 250s and one 81' 400X

They're all old as fuck and prone to that, Clarke do replica RM 79/80 tanks which might be worth looking at
