Took my partner down to smales farm tonight to do a bit of training on the 250, only lasted 20 min before a guard came down and told us to move! I mean what harm were we causing!!! bloody telstra !!!
anyway, /rant off!
does anyone know of an area I can take my girlfriend on the shore to learn and play around with the 250?

how about all the carparks around the north harbour stadium? there is a good place next to the bmx track that has drive-round access

the bmx track is on Bush Rd, the building is Siemens. they may have blocked access off now, but it used to be great for fanging around.
also, massey university, and all the carparking after-hours at the supercentre. should be plenty of space there

Telstra doesn't own or have anything to do with the guards. The guards are employed by Smales Farm land owners. TelstraClear rents the building/land, and the guards just patrol the whole place (including EDS and TOLL). I've taken peeps down Fred Thomas link/drive (http://www.nzmaps.co.nz/nzmap.php3?p=t&t=bf19&x=137&y=90&w=3&h=3&z=1&f=none), just down the back of Barry's Point Road. There's a carpark there, by the bowling alley, then just move a little further down. It's a nicely paved carpark, so if they do stack it, it's not going to get mashed up, like you would if you dropped it at TCL..
