Hi guys

Ive got a 1981 xr200 recently i changed the rear tube, in the process of cleaning it all up and putting it back together i noticed there’s nothing holding the sprocket on besides a curclip.

The sprocket/wheel is an old 5 bolt 18” wheel, i took off the 5 bolts that were on the sprocket and with it off I could pull the studs that the sprocket was bolted to out, there was no thread on the back side im just curious as to what holds them in??

From what i can see iff i took the centre curclip out id be able to pull the sprocket out

Any help would be great cheers 🥂

Totally normal. Each stud sits inside a cush drive that looks a bit like a rubber bearing with a steel outer liner and steel inner sleeve. IIRC the circlip holds the wheel spacer to the sprocket hub.
