Wheel compatibility xr200

So yesterday i went to go for a ride only to find my rear tube was shot so i pulled the tyre and replaced it but noticed a large potion of my rim has rusted out.

So my question is are the later model xr/xl wheels exchangeable my bikes a 81 so finding wheels isnt easy found later model ones just wondering if theyre same setup

Happened to a mate on his. Seem common on those. They are 17" from memory. I found another 17" rim at a wrecker and just relaced it. All stuff since 80s is 36 hole. Will be like 1.85 wide. Written on the rim.
Watch some YouTube vids and give it a shot. Easy stuff, hard the first time but not really.

CRC on spoke threads. Bit of heat from gas torch helps stubborn ones, maybe heatgun. Heat before rounding them off with too much effort. Buy spoke spanners cheap.

Happened with my XR200 also. Honda thing apparently. I got a whole new rim from a wrecker. $100 iirc.
