Motorists on a busy motorway could not believe their eyes when they drove into a cloud of money.

Two unlucky motorcyclists lost £10,500 in cash when their rucksack burst on the M3, near Winchester.

There seemed to be a lot of scepticism at the time about the reason for them carrying so much money about with them. They claimed it was to buy a car. But police weren't so sure.

I've never heard any more on this tale, so I suppose the trail has gone cold.
