Second one of these I've seen now on the tele
Doing a bit of a push to get more involved in further training by the looks

Wonder how many there are in the series?
Have seen the cruiser riding high entering a R/H corner when a camper van makes an appearance sitting on the center line and the one that's just been aried was a bike entering a intersection in the inside lane that encounters diesel in their lane

So far they seem sane, telling bikers not to hang their heads over the centreline is not an unreasonable message....

It is rather perplexing with adverts at the moment.
On the radio I'm fairly sure I heard driving advice about not driving in the RH lane when you can move left, and use the left hand lane.:shit:
All that's needed is people to do just that and for plod to enforce it too.

Not to mention the drink drive one they have been playing on the Rock, "don't be an egg, don't drink a keg..." etc

The Tv ads are a good thing. Though their message is aimed towards improvement of the skill level of the general populous of the motorcycling community in dealing with the variety of hazards we can encounter or impose on ourselves, there is a level of increasing awareness by what we consider the foe so maybe there'll be a few who will think a bit more about their actions.
A bit of publicity has to be good even if it's showing the vulnerability....just hope the campaign has some length to it and not just a flash in pan

I saw an article on this recently pointing out that it is an offence to drive permanently in the right hand lane.
That reminded me that my first ever ticket included the words, "Failing to keep as far left as practicable."

Now while that happened not long after the requirement to be preceded a man on foot with a red flag was eased, if that's still the law the cops should get on it. They don't have to dish out a ticket everytime, long time since I heard them used but they used to have loudspeakers in the car? If a polite warning is ignored - ticket time.

Many don't know they have to move over for emergency vehicles ... so keeping left on the motorway IS a big ask ... :shifty:

But ... if all lanes are flowing at 100 km/hr ... whats the issue .. ?? :blank:

They need to have the adds in more than English, probably with Hello Kitty graphics.

Its an offence to do lots of things, but its try it on until caught here, I watched a truck run a red light with the driver fiddling

with his phone.....

whats the chances these days of being pulled over....other than a couple of random WOF/Rego checkpoints last time I was

stopped by a cop was about 10 years ago, probably because I was on a Ducati.

Yes it is still the requirement.

The suggestion of using Hello Kitty in some adverts would be an interesting move. The sheer quantity of cuntbrained cockwombles who join a motorway and IMMEDIATELY have to get across to the right lane is astounding. I've seen many who swerve right across into the right lane before the onramp has ended.

Then you get to see the other end of the spectrum with said cuntwombles swerving from RH lane to get the offramp they are about to miss!

I'm not much a believer in polite suggestions, or rules.

but if there are to be "rules" they should be enforced (probably by robots since humans are fucking stupid) - failing to keep left, panalty: shot in the head with a 12ga.

none of this pussy irrelevant "fines" or "warnings" or "stern talking to" horse shit which has never worked ever (evidence: the system still exists, if it "worked" it would be redundant by now)

and anyone who needs "reminding" how to operate a vehicle, should probably be crushed.

...and the vehicle sold for charity.

When has that ever happened?

When you get stuck behind someone doing 100km/h (as shown on their under-reading speedo), and someone is doing exactly the same speed in the adjacent lane(s), there is often a huge gap in front of each of these dickheads.

Plenty of scope for one or more of them to slow down/speed up and then move left....

we have more than 1 lane up here in the north, often emergency vehicles lane split between lanes. Often requiring vehicles to move to the right of their lane.
Auckland drivers particularly challenged by this:bleh:

emergency vehicles should be able to exceed the road limit.

as should most riders:innocent::corn:

Perfected first I believe on LA's freeways - as the 'Cali(fornian) Swoop'.

The first 'Rollerball' copied it into the script...

Well, it would happen more often when people learn to merge.
far to many running up the adjacent lane and forcing themselves in.
slowing the main lane, this compounds each time a vehicle does this.

IMHO reducing the length of merging lanes helped considerably at the SH1 Manurewa Sth bound hill merge, since altered.

Going to work each morning, when everyone keeps up and uses one lane (there are 2 in places) the average speed is much higher.

it has happened, just no where near rush hour.
there have been times in the past I have encountered higher speeds with nice even gaps and all lanes filled.

unfortunately, I am unlikely to see any of these advertisements. I would think I would be the target audience.
apart from you know who:facepalm:<_<:corn::soon: cook my sock?

Hopefully and giving some of their tutors a bit of upskilling too as there's a couple who couldn't ride a hot knife into butter let alone be responsible for training others :oi-grr:

NZ often follows Victoria.....

:Offtopic:But in akl we have far to many hazard vehicles to protect 1 person (3 or more with 2 people in each) and mway closed for hours.

even bridge replacement which could have been raised (hit every other year) not even considered.....

road reconstruction by chip seal, fails regularily within 3 months. Sweeping loose bits of metal a random exercise in frustration.

water company dug up part of my drive haven’t been back for 2 months :2guns::2guns:
