Well, heading down to my first Burt, surprised there isn't already a thread about it but didn't search too hard either... a whole bunch of us are heading down from whangarei and about, looking forward to doing some side excursions on the way down. First one in the SI will be the Cobb Dam rd, been told it is worth the trip! Any other suggestions from the locals? Molesworth and Rainbow are well on the cards but not new to me.
Any tips regarding the Burt in general? I know it has a different format now, as in, it has become more of a festival. Anyway, looking forward!

Take a good rain coat. It is Invercargill after all ... :pinch:

Oh and the Nevis road is good ... and the Borland saddle road is worth a look ...
