You lucky little....
You'll be able to get that for a late model GN250 no problems.
I've not heard much about them, plenty of people will be able to fill you in though. But from what I heard they're the 'poor man's ducati' and sound awesome.
They're tweakable, tunable, plenty of aftermarket parts still around..

Honda NT650 Bros's are good machines... not SV650 powerful, but not too bad. The SOHC 3 valver motors don't have any particular bad spots. the engine design has been around since 1983 in the VT500's so they're well proven. Just treat like any Honda 4-stroke and change the oil often.
I nearly bought one a while ago. Nice to ride, handle quite well.
Cheers

i've owned one - and they are sweet.

wheels are a wierd size - and tyres are limited.
i put avons on mine - and it was beautiful.
the bikes are pretty bulletproof, watch out for bad steering head bearings, shock linkages etc.
$2000 is very cheap if it's a good bike.
buy it.

A nice package. Hard to fault. Google will produce lots of info on them for you. They were sold in the USA as the Honda Hawk. People love them. $2,000 is hard to go past.

Isn't that the same motor as in the TransAlps (Sort of) John.

I believe that the TransAlps, Revere 650 and Bros 650 all share the same engine (shaft-drive notwithstanding) but the Bros has a higher state of tune. I did this research when I looked at buying one.

yep - the revere (shaft) is a lower tune.
it's a great torquey smooth v-twin with 3 valves a cylinder.
the africa twin has a 750 version of the same motor.
m4 do a great pipe - and a couple of 36 flatslides wakes them up considerably.

Go ahead. It's a good purchase.
Had fun with mine. They go okay. Handle well.
Very good for fettling, if you are so inclined......
A few mods done: Fitting the fuel pump under the tank, allowing the trimming of the plastics under the battery box. Lowering the headlights, clocks, etc around 12mm, if I remember correctly. Raised the rear of the seat unit by adding 10mm into the subframe. Removed the pillion pegs. Did the rear brake line through the swingarm (braided brake lines ). Not forgetting the Buell style pipe. Lots of sweat went into that one......
Another link for you....

I can vouch for the NTV650. Had mine almost 14 years and 119,000km with no problems. The chain drive version does look nice.

A 52 degree twin has more of a rumble noise than the bark of a 90 degree v-twin like a VTR1000 for instance.
