Insurance for Bike while Traveling in Oz

We are taking our Adventure Bikes to Oz later in the year May-Nov, any recommendations on who and how to Insure them.

Where are you shipping them into? Are you travelling under carnet or doing rego over there?

Each state is different for rego and wof equivalent. Rego usually contains CTP which covers medical for third parties (not you) if you are at fault.

For adventure biking you probably want a comprehensive policy. All of the state motoring agencies ( like AA) have reciprocal arrangements so if you join and insure with RACQ in Qld you should get roadside support from RACV in Vic.

It's a litigious nation. Like the US. I'd go for a belt and braces approach.

Personally for a short stay I'd buy something local. PM me if you like. I live in Qld half the year and have vehicles both sides of the ditch.
