I have a pair of Yamaha TY 175 fork legs that are pitted badly and need rechroming, where's the best place to get them done. Has anyone had any done that could advise.

Somewhere in Rotovegas an engineering crowd do straightening & rechroming.

I had a pair done off a GPZ900R from a crowd in Station Rd, Otahuhu did a good job but sorry can't remember their name.

Yellow pages "Electroplaters" and look for outfits that do hard chrome plating.There are a few in Auckland. It's more specialised and more expensive than decorative plating. I priced plating a pair of stanchions a couple of years ago and it was several hundred dollars including grinding (I think something like $400 all up, but I could be wrong, it was a while ago.) Possibly cheaper to buy a set from a wrecker if you can find one in good nick.
