Sadly, I need to sell this bike as I have too many! It’s been a great, reliable, comfortable and fast bike. These are quite underrated bikes, they have plenty of power and a good seating position compared to the R1, GSXR or CBR. This particular bike is a C2 ZX9R.
I brought the bike after it had been dropped on the RHS, there was only cosmetic damage with no marks to the suspension or chassis. The RHS fairings could be tidied up, I have been quoted $500 to fix them all up, but I have never bothered. Previous owner had also fitted it with a carbon hugger and tail tidy.
Work done on it:
- Valve clearances done and carbs tuned and balanced at 60,000km. Oil and filter changed, air filter cleaned.
- Fitted Michelin Pilot Road 4 tires.
- Fitted Daytona heated grips.
- Fitted ZX10R E9 Rear Shock – straight swap and improves handling markedly.
- Fitted Techspec gripper pads
- Front EBC brake pads and brake fluid, rear wheel bearings, DID chain and sprockets fitted at 66,700km. Oil and filter changed air filter cleaned.
Spares with it:
- Set of Rear EBC brake pads.
- Oil filter wrench.
- Front wheel, swingarm and linkage bearings and seals.
- Nearly full bottle of Castrol Power1 oil.
- Set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tires.
