Hey guys!

Is anybody here a muso?

If so what do you play; Instruments, Genres, Styles, etc?

Is there much of a local/domestic scene, particularly in Christchurch/Canterbury?

Alternatively if you have a collection of gear and/or instruments or a studio/recording set up, feel free to show off with some photos! :)

Yep, I am. I play in an old peoples rock band, like everyone else I play guitar. I have two Strats, two Teles, a Gibson 339, an Ibanez JS24, and a Taylor 214 acoustic. I play through a Marshall JVM 205, a Fender Supersonic 22, a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, a VOX AC-30 Heritage Head, a VOX Heritage AC-4, but mainly I use an AXE-FX II through a Spacestation Monitor.

Cheers

Drummer here.

No time for a Band atm - but mainly play Metal All the way from Iron Maiden to Dimmu Borgir, although the latter is played badly, cause I'm out of practice.

Kit is DDrum shells, Custom Pearl Snare, Axis longboard pedals, Gibraltar rack etc. etc.

...I'm a bass bashing rocker and have been for 45 years...I feed the signals from my Rik 4000 through a Galleon Kreuger amp to a 15 inch thingy in a heavy box...it gets heavier every gig, it seems...I have no inclination to play any fucking Cowboy shit yet...the band I'm with now have been doing 60's, 70's and the odd later stuff for coming up 17 years now...I think we have 130 or more covers from Led Zepp to the Beatles to AC/DC to the Strolling Bones and it's all played loud and heavier than it was originally...I'm starting to hate getting home at 4am though...that is way past my bedtime these days...I hate drummers with a passion but we are all fucked without one, fuck it...

Yes, toting gear and late nights are a killer. I thought I'd have roadies by now :-)

The Gluepot was the NZ music scene (in Auckland anyway) when I was a nipper.

Yamaha C3 piano.

Don't be shy, you really prefer playing your favourite instrument, the Pork Piccolo.
