Setting off Tuesday morning - going a bit "old school" - tent and sleeping bag (but prefer backpackers - I'm getting soft!) Minimal electronics, no pre-booking, no ABS, GPS, XYZ - just a paper map for back up. Levin / Otaki Tues night, Blenheim (hopefully) Weds, Greymouth / Hokitika Thurs, Invercargill 01 / 02 April. There is a small motorcycle muesem in Ross, Shantytown out of Greymouth, which must be more vibrant than Greymouth CBD.

Now back home again - 2195 miles (3534 kms to you youngsters) - 12 days, about 3 hours of rain (and not on the west coast!) - only problem some crap in the fuel in Southland (oh, and a numb bumb!:wacko:) Motorcycle Mecca well worth a visit!
