I reckon.. Sounds a bit extreme - how do 6 bolts "shear"?... unless you drop the clutch and the clutch plate stuck!

I don't think the BMW flywheel bolts are meant to be reused, I'm sure the manual says replace them every time they're out, something to do with the way they stretch, I'f I can find my old manual I'll check

No need to, I can verify that because I read it in dads manual too.

Naturally I would like to say all the usual Beemer/Honda/etc Jazz but will stifle the urge.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune, hope it's not as bad as it sounds. Cheers John

I seem to recall that most mags last year gave the BoTY to the BMW 1200GS.
The current issue of Two Wheels awards BoTY to the BMW1200S.
Somebody seems to think BMWs are OK... :-)

Try following an R90 on a shitty road surface....
Even better, roadworks....
They will do anything.... Perhaps not each thing well, but everything reasonably....

BMW's are great machines but I never heard of one doing that before! DAMN, you gotta get that sorted out! Broken frames yeah, the odd stoffed swing arm or shaft but 6 bolts shearing off the clutch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FARKME, total rebuild should be undertaken just to be sure.
