At that speed, youd not have much chance to see any details.
description 'fast and loud' probably aint gunna help.
Ive always figured I could outrun a squad car piece of piss, but you can't outrun radio - guess the got lucky there werent any available units further up the road to sit and wait for them.
It said a pair of motorcyclists right? Shit Cassina will be very worried about the pressure placed on the second rider to keep up - be a lot of pressure too, given that its the slow one who gets the ticket :sweatdrop

To be fair, 247 is closer to 200 than 300 :/
I've heard good things about those GN250s once the lam limiters are removed.

love it!...... change down three times at about 200 km hr......SH2 bypasses the metropolis of Upper Hutt.In the old days SH2 went right up Fergusson Drive and bypassed the city centre by less than 50 Metres, every trip up the takas meant going through(and back) Upper Hutt.

Tried some 98 octane in the HD - went for a spin and it did 300.
Is the article racist pointing out the motorcycles were Japanese ......
Reckon the 300 plus was a estimates as the clocked speed was 247 (or something) and they accelerated away.

There must have been a trail of dead bodies going that fast.
300 is sensationalist journalism, probably egged on by the cops, and how the hell did the Motorcycle Safety Council get involved, and Graeme Crosby??? Crosby could ride without a doubt but I lost any respect for him a long time ago as far as motorcycling goes.

So they were clocked at 247 but the cops reckon they were doing more then 300? How do they know that?

6th June 2018, 09:26
Yeah 300 takes serious commitment on a bike and a seriously clear road. They all limited to 299 anyways I thought? Not out of the question though I know a few motorways where it wouldn't be hard on a R1 with it's limiter removed and a sprocket change.
Cops too scared to chase regardless of it they could keep up anyways these days what with every idiot finding the first tree they find soon as the red n blues come on.

It was on the radio news today. Perhaps nobody told them that radio news is supposed to be topical.
The cop(s) who estimated "more than300kph" should wait until their shift is finished before they light up the electric puha.

I'll be impressed if they hit 17500m/sec (escape velocity for those who dont know)
