The obvious question is, if she knew about it at the time (and reading that article suggests she did) why didn't she say something at the time?
And, why is she talking about it now? What's prompted her to finally come clean?

Maybe she was too fearful of him while he was alive.

I understood that she found out after his death. I guess that means that one or more of his victims has regained some courage and spoken to her.
It's an extremely serious allegation, something that is only very rarely found to be made falsely, so dismissing it as bullshit is naive and premature.
It's a shame he isn't still alive to answer for himself, but possibly if he was then maybe this wouldn't have come to light.
Sexual abuse is a dark and terrible secret that far too many people hold deep inside, and this probably isn't the proper forum to discuss it.

The member that I mentioned in my previous post was facing a raft of similar charges and mysteriously vanished when the net started to close in around him.
The reality is that there are probably still other people who are members on this site who have similar skeletons hidden away.

No, he really isn't. He will alude to it without ever going the next step to naming that person. He is a lot of talk with no action, haven't you noticed?

I may well be having a shitty day and be a little more grumpy than usual BUT... It this kinda grinds my gears a bit. I mean WTF she's married to the guy 26 years and only finds out now that’s he's been up to no good? I mean I know these guys are expert liars etc (assuming he WAS up to no good ) BUT he must also have a herculean appetite for lust if she didn’t notice anything was a little odd. Sorry 26 years and he never dropped the ball? Shes either blind or dumb as a feckin post....
I’m NOT saying its her fault but if its true there IS a possibility she's just covering her arse with this playing the innocent victim shit.
The media is seemingly full of these stories at the moment. Amazing woman wronged by horrible man.. All a part of the ‘me too’ thing I suppose but half the time the me too was the amazing woman making a series of fucking stupid decisions to start with that put her on the starting line. Yes they were exploited, yes they were obviously vulnerable but they also don’t seem capable of looking at it all and saying, ‘you know what it was my series of stupid decisions that contributed to my situation’.
I mean here’s a classic – She escaped a cult… Married the creep and had 4 kids to him?? Wtf?

Far out if the same 'I was victimised' thought patterns were applied to road safety then we would have an ever increasing road toll… oh…. Wait a moment…

Maybee I'm just being cynical but I'm reading that as "he's no longer gonna be able to support my financial wants with these charges, so I though it was time I started paving the way out by playing the victim"

On the one hand - it seems suspect to accuse a person, when they cannot defend themselves against the accusation.
However, if this has been instigated by a victim, it's not entirely unreasonable to posit that they only came forward when the perpetrator couldn't hurt them.
As others have said - the story of "I was married for nearly 30 years and had no idea" somehow rings a little hollow.
I think the important part is to wait until evidence is gathered, before making a determination.

The member that I mentioned in my previous post was facing a raft of similar charges... A raft of charges?. Perhaps that's why he escaped on a yacht?
What I found interesting is that no one from Maoridom has jumped to his defence like you normally would if someone threw unproven accusations at dead person. That speaks volumes to me.

Looks like the Iwi he worked with has put up a $10,000 award for information leading to a conviction - and yeah, he's dead but they appear to think there was a ring involved.
Certainly not brushing it under the carpet.

And if the words "goes to the highest heights you can imagine" have any degree of truth, there will be some sweat soaked suits out there right about now.

I wonder which magazine offers to pay her a lot of $$$$$$ for her story ... ???
A cash cow in the making ... from one source or another.
Who will pay the most ... the one's wanting the full story (if there indeed WAS one) or those wanting to shut her up.

Yes - her story has a lot of credibility (coupled with shock) within the Maori communities I work in ...

Going through our customs the other month, I realised Steve can't travel overseas.
Customs and Immigration ask direct questions which have to be answered. So he's fucked.
