Hey,
I've been milling around here for a while now, sold the cage last weekend, had my learners for a while now, got all the gears and just looking for a bike. Gone off the GN's, lost an auction on a ZZR this morning which went well over the buy now price (knew i should have clicked the buy now) so getting desperate! :argh:
I'm pretty impatient when it comes to purchasing things, I actually had a look at some cages on trademe the other day then laughed realising that's the last thing I want. :headbang:
Can't wait for my first legal ride, if anyone knows any two fifty's under three gimma a PM, anything considered!
Cheers.

Welcome herp. Bide your time and the right bike will turn up, though the price of a lot of the 250 sprotbikes makes my eyes bulge. I think the Hyosung 250 looks like good value, and I notice the odd used one turning up. If the name puts you off, you could put Suzuki stickers on and see if anyone notices.

Last week I picked up this bike from fellow kiwibiker member, Blackadda. It's an absolute gem, done a few hundred km's already, loving every bit of it. Anyways, it's an `89 GSXR, and I thought I'd post a few pics up of it for those interested..

welcome to the madhouse
the trading point on this site has a large turnover but if you're not wanting to wait touring the showrooms is a good bet, as is checking bikepoint.

Anyways, it's an `89 GSXR, and I thought I'd post a few pics up of it for those interested..I cut my teeth on one of those bikes, same year too. I hated the graphic striping (like this example (http://www.bikepics.com/pics/pics/suzuki-gsxr250-89-bikepics-059742.jpg)) along the side of the fairings so I stripped them down and painted them black with a soft red pearl through it, came up real nice & shiney, then applied some more modern looking graphics...only had the gixxer250 for 7 months before I couldn't resist any further and upgraded to a gixxer750.
Enjoy the new ride herp! :niceone:
