I'm lucky - I get to surf as much KB as I like at work...when I'm not occupied parking client's cars (ie 1-hourish blocks during client meetings.)

I look after some of the networking and IP stuff at work and I have had to ban a few computers from guys looking up Porn or in one case excessive downloading. He managed to get 400mb of personal stuff and download it to disk.

I understand why people get banned if they spend all day on KB (Not looking at me that is :whistle: ) But it costs a hell of alot for the connections we run so there is a wee bit of trust involved in letting people use it when they should be working.

At my after work ,,,work ..we dont have internet access so I use a cheap laptop ( bought for next to nothing ) and a a wireless modem card ( like a pc card but is a mobile phone and a modem ,,,) ....its only 64k but its unlimited usage ,,,and can be used anywhere ( I can download while driving ,,,for example ,,,) ,,that was cheap to ..am using it now ....
oh yes theres alway a way around having to work ,,,, Can you share networks???? ,,for example use your own computer but when you need to look like you are working ...log on to the companys network ...that would be perfect !!!

Eh, found out why work blocked KB, two other people at work are also using KB, and apparantly with the amount of images or some crap it's using a lot of bandwidth... oh well... doesn't matter too much, the last 3 weeks I've been too busy to post anyway... :)

Yes, that is true, you do have to work when at work, but my point is that if you work with or for arseholes and it isn't fun, then whats the point?
