Doing the full loop this saturday if anyone wants to tag along.

I'll be leaving Hams around 9.00 and stopping in at Kopu servo as per the usual, probably around 10.00-10.30. Then heading over the hill, and up to Whitianga for lunch. Then finish off the rest of the loop and head home.

More the merrier, will probably suit quicker riders and lazy pizza boys on K3's that wanna whipping....

Bugger bro, yeah some other weekend though. R1 is great, just opened up the exhaust so it sounds the part now, goes pretty hard, doesnt lift the wheel in second quite like yours though, may drop a tooth on the front to sort that out, or just ride it a bit harder.

If i crash ill make sure I flip it at high speed in your honour.

Might take you up on that. I get paid next friday for a good 66 hours over the the last week and next week. should have enough for gas and grub for a good ride. Have to see what the weather is like so don't have to worry about mudslides and such blocking the road.

Three Blackyboids, a sublime VFR800, and a rental BMW GollumSmeagol 1200. (I assumed it were a Suzook, because I weren't paying attention, thus making an ass out of me and... er, me).

Miiiiiinnt ride :D

Great weather, great company, great roads ('cept for the sneaky bits of gravel lurking around some of the corners). Couldn't ask for more aye...'cept maybe to actually be able to do a @#$%'n wheelie. I tried past the Kopu pub there, but as you all saw, it just wasn't happening. Some day...

Good to meet you guys aye, n I'll catch you again sometime, for sure :niceone:

Yeah, good times, like ya say nice weather and the road in pretty good condition for the most part, had a turn out of Torque, Teflon, Joflo, Johnboy, V Twin Raver, Toast and Me.

Was good to have a decent blat on the R1 and try and get tused to it a bit, started to feel more comfortable on one wheel towards the end of the day, although still not really comfy on it leaning it over through corners yet though, nothing a track day shouldn't fix.

Everybody rode at a pretty brisk pace, Torques radar detector saving us Ham's guys at least once. Toast you OWN that stretch of road from Coromandel to Thames mate!

No off's which is always great, only hiccup was Torque getting a puncture in the radiator of the K5 and leaking coolant back to Ham's. And Teflon's battery finally gave up a few K's outta Ham's and cooked itself.

Nice to meet a couple of new faces: Joflo and Toast.

Bring on summer and more rides the same!

Later
