Starter motor required

Help ! This may be the wrong forum, but it is my first post and everywhere I've tried comes up with an error and I can't post ! Please move as appropriate (and tell me where to ! ) Thank you.

I need a replacement starter motor for a 1985 Honda CBX 400 F. Honda no longer supply, my only hope is from a wrecker or similar, unless .... a different model from a similar bike can be modified to fit ?

Original Part No. 31200-MA6-008 became Part No. 31200-MA6-405 - and Part No. 321200-MB6-405 also fits.

Any help appreciated.

550 is the same AFAIK. Diesel pig on here has blown up half the world's supply of 550's so may have a starter or two...

what;s wrong with yours? some have rebuild kits available, also try bryce at clearance on trademe. ask him a question
