View Full Version : Adoption goes through

Keystone19
14th October 2005, 08:06
After many long, lonely months languishing in an Auckland orphanage, one sad and uncared for orphan has been offered a new home in my humble garage.

I have made the huge decision to adopt after considering all possible options. I feel I can offer a warm and loving environment in which to nurture and care for this sad and distressed soul, helping it to overcome the trauma of its previous life and subsequent abandonment.

Formal adoption will take place in the next 24 hours.

Welcome to my home little one…

no, it's a fairly new bike, it's just been owned by someone else who didn't like aspects of it...

How did we get so low... a promising thread like this - the gorgeous KeyStone - a nurse no less (picture white uniform) confirming she has a new steed to mount...the prospects to take that to wonderful places, picturing all manner of illicit and potentially NSFW imagery and we end up with...

...Lou's arse hair being ripped out by the roots at SARGE's suggestion...

MY GOD - it's enough to make me shudder... and that really takes some doing...

Time to get :Offtopic: then and back to beer.

I've had some nice ones this week; some I bought for Mac to save him from the dodgier NZ ales, and some he bought and I tried for the first time (but not the Guiness - can't stand all that burnt barely stuff. Taint nattril.)
So new beers for me: Speights Black (good; a bit treacley); Speights Pilsener (very nice).
New beers for Mac: 6-finger Ale (Boags); the NZ version of Stella; Mac's Pilsener; the beers previously mentioned, and some other Macs or SPeights I can't recall.

Oooh - and Mac taught me about whiskey, so I had a "few wee drams" of Highland Park 12-year old single malt that Mac apologised for the lack of smoothness of. I (surprisingly) really enjoyed it, and it worked better on my throat than Gee's Linctus and 17 days of antibiotics did. :niceone:

oh and if you ever feel the need to upgrade... look towards the suspension direction of front and rear shock / springs :) that is what I "should" have done instead of abandoning her.

the front is best when it has 2 1/2 clicks showing... and the rear preload either on 5 with rider only or 6 for rider + passanger or lots of luggage. :done:

And, what was the prize again...?

Umm, no, by my calculations that is an average of 2000km per month and my average is 2400km per month.

Hmm, my prize, let me think...

How about whoever wins pays for the other ones petrol and lunch on a sunny day blat around the Coro loop...
