I can't help you much re the bike, but I'm chuffed that you know you are in Ireland.
Clearly you are one of the smart ones.;)

They're pretty simple and some are prone to poor connections.
The harness feed comes from the solonoid with a fuse on the side. They get dirty and dont work sometimes.
Get your meter out and see if you're getting power on the harness side of that.

If it's not part of the main engine start connections ... it could be the sidestand cutout switch wiring.

I cant see where that comes from. Take the red plug pff the solonoid and see where that's coming from. Could be the starter signal wire.

Solenoid should get one starter wire coming in...
And one wire going out to starter...
Starter itself should have one thick positive wire coming " direct "from battery.
Basic system often gets prohibitor circuits wired in like sudestand / clutch/ on off running switch.. ignition switch and starter button.
Might be easier to work your way from starter up...
Does starter work when you give it 12v..?
Etc...

I think it's starter signal, but hard to know when not there looking at it all.
There are three possibilities for what it does, but none are more likely than the other.
Chuck a tester on and see if it's live, and when
Ie, key on/off. Starter button pushed.

green-red trace looks like solenoid trigger, probably been bared off so it can be touched to solenoid terminal with boot pulled back to crank motor over?
Check out black tube below solenoid with knife split up the side of it, you may find other end of trigger wire.
White may be feed from reg/rect to battery?
Yellow-red trace main feed to ignition?
Check fuse under yellow cover, looks like it has been on and off, broken tang on cover.
Go the All Blacks:yes:
