Paganism is making a comeback, apparently. So, being a bit modern - I did some searching and came up with this: It is the answer you may have been looking for without knowing:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Om_Banna
Om Banna (also called Shri Om Banna and Bullet Banna) is a shrine located in Pali district near Jodhpur, India, devoted to a deity in the form of a motorcycle.[2] It is located 20 kilometres (12 mi) from Pali and 50 kilometres (31 mi) away from Jodphur on the Pali-Jodhpur highway, near Chotila village. The motorcycle is a 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet RNJ 7773.

Hundreds of devotees turn up every day to pray for a safe journey.

They are more likely praying they will not end up with a 350 Enfield.

The new 650 twins look interesting, I like mid sized bikes of around 50 HP and they have a 6 speed box.

Gotta be as much fun as the Commando but with less to go wrong.

I like the W650 but not the modern Bonneville. I like the look of the new Enfields, and if that one above is for real - I would be very tempted. Worthy of Worship perhaps.

I always thought the W650 and it's brethren were just Kawasaki trying to make a retro based on English bikes. I didn't realise that they were rehashing their own bike from back in the 60s.

Kawasaki rehashed their own bike of the 60's, which was in turn a copy of the 60's Bonnie, I guess.

I always read that the Kawasaki was inspired by the BSA A10, although I do note that Wikipedia credits the Bonneville. That may just be because whoever wrote the Wiki article is too young to know about the A10.

That new Enfield looks the part.

That's not actually Paganism but it is an example of how people are being lead from the true path. You might joke about it but dark forces are behind such false gods and you may find yourself on the wrong side of redemption.
Worship of false idols and the evil of poppet valve induction will lead your soul to burn in God's almighty barbeque that he created because he loves us and would prefer to see us burn for all eternity than lead happy lives.
Yea, seek yee the sanctity of the pure racing motorcycle, be it an RM250 or indeed the humble RG500 to show you the way.
Amen fucker.

The real thing used to throw rods though, hopefully the current engineers have fixed that. I'll let other people buy them to do the testing.
