Hi everyone,

I'm Stefan and I am slowly getting addicted to bikes. I have none of the sort yet, but hopefully come next year I should be terrorizing the streets of New Plymouth.

I am still at school unfortunately, but I'm planning on leaving at the end of the year for good, and begin training to become a commercial pilot, which should be good fun

Have a good one

Stefan

go here>>>> http://www.pprune.org/forums/index.php?s= and read everything before jumping into a $70k student loan. my advice would be to get a trade (carpentry/engineering/electician/plumbing) so that you have something to pay the bills with between getting your CPL/ATPL, and the next 5 years before you get a job.

good luck though, i wish i had done it 15 years ago.

Hi guys,

Marty, your advice seems perfectly sound, the only problem is I would go crazy speding my time and energy doing something I have absolutely no interest in at all. I hope to gain my instructors rating as part of the course, and hope to gain employment at the local aero club, or elsewhere after I finish the course.

thehollowmen, thanks for the welcome, I'm at boys high at the moment. Been there since 3rd form, what high school did you go to? Dunedin, nice place, bloody steep streets though....!

pilot aye, maybe the airforce could pay for your licence and a bit of work through your training?

The airforce? What airforce? hehe...

The airforce wont pay for anything unless you join them, which is a problem as they dont recruit many people these days. And to top it off I would need to spend another year at school if I wanted a chance of joining...:slap:

As for NPBHS, I dont really think much of it, just a means to get elsewhere if you know what I'm saying. Though, it probably is the best school in the area, and more importantly is closer to home!

Cheers,

Stefan

I'm an old boy..
please don't go looking me up though, I've changed far too much since I was last there.

Gonna campaign for motorcycle parks at school then? I doubt Frenchy would be too impressed *Ducks*
