There used to be firecrackers. Lots and lots and fucking lots of firecrackers. In countries with a large Chinese population the streets were inches deep in red paper next morning.

So much quieter now to welcome in the year of the pig.

So much quieter now to welcome in the year of the pig.

It's like that here... We have Indians, don't know what persuasion, Germans, Sikhs, and one Kiwi. Fireworks start at in the afternoon of NY's Eve

and gradually increases up to about 1am on NYDay. Usually all over by about 2am apart from the odd one. Strangely enough it doesn't worry

the dogs... they just sleep on as if nothing's happening.
