I read a while ago that lines in NZ needed some certification stamp or some such shit. And had to have particular clamps (that are only sometimes used overseas) to get signed off for WoFs. I am looking to do a similar swap, on a non HD bike. What do I have to look out for?

I got mine direct from the UK and they supplied (on request) a TUV cert docket and if I remember each line had a small tag on it with a cert number. The NZ website confirms they are certified with the NZTA.

UK shows listings for a zillion Hogs so NZ will be able to get the kit direct if you want someone local on the hook.

Note - I'm only recommending HEL because I have used them and the kit had everything needed supplied, banjos even had been fitted with a suitable angle so the line was not twisted when run from one end to the other (rear in particular). There are many other makers of fine lines out there as well.

PS for the cost of a big block HD and the need for decent braking on a rig that heavy the bloody thinks should be Brembo equipped and standard with braided lines. :bleh:

I brought in braided lines from England for my bandits - never got any certification and never got asked for it.

Try HEL - get them built properly ..

Galfer can be worth a look too. Sometimes they can be cheaper because they are made in Spain and that country gets advantages because it is rated as a third world country for tariff purposes.
