In the big winds the other day, a sheet of iron blew off a shed in the village....
It lodged in the power lines. Causing a power outage as you'd expect.
It appears to have shorted mains voltage to the phone lines - which have gone to the closest earth.
This was the local exchage across the road.
Melted equipment....and a voltage surge up the phone lines.
Fried modems around the village - one of them ours.
So I'm off line from Sunday for about a week or more.
