I booked 10 days off around Easter cos if you put in 3 you get ten off. Score.
I was going to do a 10 day bike trip.
My girlfriend caught wind and now plans have changed. I am no longer doing a 10 day bike trip.
I am now going to be going to the Glaciers. For 5 days.
Any advice on things to do apart from look at the ice before they melt.
Cheers

there's plenty of spare stench trench in that area, so it's up to your kitchen bitch if she's into a threesome or wants to walk up town while you empty your catcher quite simply.

There used to be a bar on the main street (just north of the gas station) call the Blue Ice. Worth a look.
Enjoy the sex ... you'll probably pay enough for it on those 5 days ...

Or a short movie clip demonstrating her personality & tone of voice.
My Mrs reckons you're screwed. Start as you plan to go on. In other words, (hers) grow a ball sack.

I am planning on going on a chopper flight around.

Food for thought.

Good point. I'll be sure to tell when I grow a pair.

I was planning a ride originally. But my bike got written off the other day. So I am without a bike but I might get one soon. Depends on the insurance company.
But it is looking likely to be a hunting trip.

See that's relevant info you left out at first.
Maybe she's quite nice & trying to distract you from concentrating on your great loss.

Sales Opp:My Son is going overseas soon, has a 2015 650 white Hyosung he will be selling for $4800.00 with new WOF.
The walk up to the glacier is quite nice if you leave early, becomes like a queue at the supermarket later on.
I would not leave anything of value in the car.
Pub on far end of town on other side of road does happy hour on beer around 5:00 PM.

I am over hyosung motorcycles. Had a shocking run with it. Shit breaking all the time. I am going to buy a hornet or bandit probably.
Cheers about the pub

Pity about the lack of a bike. The West Coast Highway used to feature on lists of the world's ten best rides.
One thing, there was very illtle cell phone coverage down there. It may have improved but I wouldn't be relying on using eletronic devices for entertainment.

Mount Hercules between Harihari and Whatoroa is well worth doing twice. Whatever direction you're going ... ;)
No cell coverage in Haast ... but Franz and Fox Glaciers do have cell reception. From Ross (or thereabouts) ... north ... it's possible.

With the wind noise and turbulence they (obviously) create ... you can't hear (or see) B-train truck/trailer units at 1am on city streets when you ride them ... ;)

Lime scoots, and the like, are an answer to a nonexistant problem.

Franz is the tourist Town Fox is more rural town
You can do plenty of Stuff from Horse trcking heli hiking Glacier guided walks on inside Glaciers.
Parachuting fishing helihunting for Thar chamois deer (no pigs down that way)
if your coming from the north its one of NZ great drives but leave early in the morning before the tourist get up in their campers.
detour down through Westport and do the pancake rocks

Yeah I was really looking forward to the ride. I am planning to go to southland next year so hopefully I'll have saved up enough for a decent bike.
I am sure we'll keep ourselves occupied hahah.

Apparently it is quite the hike up to the glacier from the carpark now. First time I went there it was like 5 minutes walk in motorbike boots. And we complained at how far.
