They expelled the Isreali ambassador and blamed the USA for poisoning yassar Arafat.
The government then started targeting jews Including security forces raiding schools and synagogues.
This lead to widespread sackings of Jewish property and spraying of swastikas and other Nazi symbols on synagogues.
A bomb was then detonated in a Synagogue

China is still waiting to see if the Maduro government of Venezuela will survive its latest problem, being condemned by most Western Hemisphere states and many others worldwide for rigging elections and refusing to allow food and medical aid in. Maduro insists foreign aid is not needed and that elections over the last few years were fair.
Maduro does not believe there is any kind of crisis other than what problems there are were created by foreign intrigue. Yet ten percent of the population has fled the country because of the economic collapse and shortages of food, medicine and much else.

China, like many other nations, is waiting to see if the Venezuelan security forces (army and police) remain loyal in the face of family, friends and neighbours of most soldiers and police suffering from the shortages and violence. China is willing to deal with the rival president of Venezuela, the widely accepted Juan Guaido who, technically, is the interim president until fair elections can be held. Even Russia and China agree the political and economic situation in Venezuela is a mess but both want to protect their investments (loans and business agreements) and avoid any unfavourable fallout. China is in touch with Guaido while Russia is letting China take the lead.

China is allowing senior Maduro officials to send family members to China, which may indicate a willingness to provide comfortable exiles for these wealthy families. The only catch is their wealth is the result of massive corruption by Maduro cronies and Maduro himself. The cash is often stashed in Western banks, which are seen as more reliable (even though they will respond to court orders). Putting dirty money in Chinese banks puts you at the mercy of a government that is not answerable to courts or any international rules.

where naptha is used for cutting heavy oils to help their flow (and

If you can't transport heavy oil, you can't refine it and export it.

Saw a brief video interview with an American journo who had just returned from several weeks in Venezuela. He said that Venezuela's huge oil reserves are currently in state ownership. The new man, supported as President by the US and others as president, is to privatise the state oil company and sell it off to the usual corporate interests.

He warned that a lot of what we are reading is just not true. That's OK, I had assumed that, so far it's all smoke and mirrors.
It would be nice to know what's really happening though.
