going riding sunday 15th

I am off work at 11 tomorrow morning so I am dying to take the bike out for good run. Thinking of going out to Piatutua then down to masterton. go over the riumutakas (excuse spelling). People been talking about these hills all the time and I am only 100k away and I have never ridden them so have to have a go. Would be good to catch anyone who wants to show me the way as long as you dont leave me behind. (well you can leave me behind if you want but I anit going to be chasing 200 on this trip.

I see the Manawathree gorge is closed again. More major slips?

I assume it is slips. I live on the edge of the gorge and I noticed the detour signs when I went off to work this morning (I dont actually go through the gorge). I assume it be slipps as there were no ambulance or police going that way. There was a big accident there last week where someone drove off the edge. Probably not recommended.
