Hi I stripped down what I thought was my 81 Honda xr200 as I wanted to replace the shaft that the front sprocket was on as previous owner had welded it on. Also tidying up the motor at same time. However the hiccup I have come across is that when I recieved another shaft from honda dismantler it was a fatter shaft. I then looked for numbers on my motor to get model and year but grrrr they have been ground off. I am hoping that someone can tell me when the shafts changed in size so I can have another go at finding a good secondhand one. I have been to my local bike shop and they were not aware of a change and said would take them alot of work to find out. Any help would be much appreciated so I can get my correct part and bike back together.
Cheers Mike

If you take the engine into the Police station they will be able to use their special Grumman laser reader to read the original engine number for you free of charge.
Tell them husaberg sent you.
Without the engine number you are pushing shit uphill as the XR200 has many different countershaft lengths.

If it does prove to be stolen ... I'm sure the :Police: station is the right place to find out ... :shifty:

But at least he wont need to fix it anymore ...

And he'll be only too happy to say how to find you ... :blank:
