Hot starting issue - ‘92 honda vt250

Right so, my little spada roars into life when cold, but damn near won’t start if it’s hot.
It had a bit of a moment this evening, wouldn’t cold start either.
Turned the idle screw up and bingo.

It had a series of vacuum leaks dealt to not long ago, and I believe the carbs were rebuilt at the same time.

It is my daily ride and I run it on premium.

Any help?

Check the valve clearances. I had an issue years ago with no hot start but fine cold start. Clearances were a little off. The valves were slightly lifted when hot.

Not something I can do meself, argh. Probably well overdue for them though. Zero mishaps until this Wednesday just gone, so not sure what’s spurred it on.

It was View Street. Had to push it back to Biskerstaff Rd. I bet I couldn't so that now.

I was teaching there at the time . All my kids saw me pushing it up the hill and gave me shit for weeks afterwards...little bastards!
