Not sure where to post this, so here will do. I have noticed over the last few days a hell of alot of what appears to be new riders out on the road. Brand new gear (good to see they are wearing gear) riding small cc bikes, pottering along enjoying the riding. I have also noticed the odd one in what I class as a very dangerous spot on the road. Has anyone else noticed a influx of new riders.

Not so I've noticed, but good to hear that you have seen more bikers.

What do you mean by "a very dangerous spot on the road"?

An oily spot, blind spot, what spot?

Remember that we was all newbies at one stage or another (me a 8 years old). What they need is some helpfull direction. If they choose to ignore it then they may learn the hard way. But from what I have learnt is that if the info comes accross the right way, most will listen. :niceone:

Yeah, I noticed a few more than normal on the road over the weekend. I was stood with Mike @ Mt Eden outside for 5 minutes, to see a lot of newbies ride past, not together. But there is a lack of sense on the road too! Lots of car horns beeping away, which isn't good to hear. Including a newbie who turned down the road very cautiously, and stuck to the left of the road, then a cage blasted past the poor bloke, blasting away on the horn! Just hope everyone learns quick! And good luck to 'em

It's a sure learning curve in town - moving chicanes everywhere! Can't seem to ride for 20m without having to dodgy one idiot.

Good thing I live slightly out of town! It is cool to see other riders starting out, when I see another, we are both doing the wave/death grip on handle bar thing! haha

Yep, there's heaps around the Tauranga/Mount area, Suzuki must be making a killing on those GN's. Quite a few scooters too with gas prices on the rise.

Ban them I say.... How dare people want to ride if they've never done it before! Only those who have already ridden a bike should be allowed to ride on MY ROADS! Newbies beware :killingme: I was never a newbie, honest! :dodge:
