Hi
I currently live in Canada and am wanting to ship my 2010 Harley DavidsonNigjtster back to New Zealand when I come back. I paid $9000 Canadian for the bike and just wondering if it was worth shipping back. Shippings not to bad but for a compliancecheck I was quoted $2000 has anyone imported a bike from Canada and know any prices?
Thanks
Scotty

Welcome to the site. Who quoted you $2000 for compliance? I had one of my bikes re-complied recently and (yes I know the right people) it cost me $140. I've been in the car industry for years (importing) and basic compliance is $350 incl GST.

My brother shipped a bike back from Aus and paid well less than $2k all-in, including shipping and compliance. You're getting ripped off.

I import cars regularly and checked with my compliance guy today, he quoted $320 to comply a bike imported from USA. You just need the original title doc.

Add to the $320 a r/h traffic headlamp & possibly a few other bits & Bob's the compliance check may require & you're likely still under $1000
