For those of you from around the Tauranga area, Bayride is organising a ride on Thursday night. Meeting outside Bayride on Cameron road at 5:45pm.

I believe they plan to head up thru Karangahaki gorge to Paeroa then back down Old Te Aroha Rd. This one's a trial and if it goes well they plan to run regular rides.

C U There!

How long would a ride like that take? Im just wondering how much of it would be ridden in the dark?

I'd allow 2 1/2 - 3hrs so should be home by 9. So an hour after sunset maybe.... You're bike's got a headlight don't it???

Ah i missed those Bayride cruises.......good bunch of guys to ride with. But the trick is to race a guy named 'Steve' on a ZX10R....im sure he's getting slower with age :)

Buy him some toasted sammies first, that slows him down a bit

That's a pretty leisurely ride.

For an evening ride, I'd be inclined to go the other way - the old road can be a bit dangerous in the dark. Also means you could stop for a coffee in kati.

Better to over guesstimate..... and he is on a 250!!!

Good point, may well be the case, don't know if anything was concrete when I spoke to them.
