Honda steed straight pipe. Help needed Advice/tips on baffles

Hey everyone. Im new to riding and have bought my first bike which is a 1988 Honda vlx steed 400. I’m looking for any advice or tips on baffling straight pipes to make the exhausts more quieter to pass a vic roads inspection for a new registration in a few days, and the sound test has to be within 94des... if anyone has experience with baffling straight pipes or if anyone has any tips and feedback on this subject please feel free to let me know positive or negative is more then welcome. I have been searching for stock exhausts for this bike but is hard to find one that I could get before the inspection. If I can avoid spending 400-600 on set for the mean time that’ll be great.

A split cut near the end alond the lenngth about 100-150mm long will take a bit of the bark out
but not enough, just find the cheapest silencer/s can you can find for the test.
or shove a pepper pot silencer baffle up each.

You could also make a spiral baffle but you will not get 94DB without some size bigger then a straight pipe or some heavy restriction
If it was me i would make something out of an old oil filter.

Fit a standard pipe for the required inspection (beg borrow or steal required pipes)

Then … if you so choose … re-fit the straight pipes.
