Hi everyone.
I'm on my hand and knees begging for some help.
Just brought a 2002 XR400 and the choke (On) shut off plate is missing, so starting it is a mission.
Upon research the original one had the plate and a little stainless baffle, apparently these broke/fell off and got sucked into the motor.
Apparently this is not good :niceone:
Does anyine have a XR's only version (Solid steel version) with 2 holes in it.
I'm still open to the original one, but i have searched the country for a plate or old carb for sale, but can't find anything in NZ.

Does anyone have a spare or old carb or any contacts.
I would be over the moon and eternally greatful.
Cheers Richard

Um, isn't that like stupidly easy to make? Use loctite and decent screws.

Hi,
Probably a dumb question, I have a 2002 XR400 and having to resort to making a new choke plate (Mine is completely missing.) What stops the plate when it's fully on, is it done by the choke lever positioning (Also missing at the moment, but a new one coming) or is it the choke plate touching the inside of the carb ?
Cheers
