a VJ23 is now ¥1.1M to ¥1.7M yen retail
that $16,800 - $26,000 ! NZ
not to say you cant get one at auction for ¥600,000 would be landed in NZ for $13,400 approx

15years ago you might find one for $4.5-6.5k on Trademe, and in the years since less than 6 have ever been for sale in NZ that I can recall. Cheapest was a stolen recovered for I think $3500

The prices have tripled in Japan, as have all collectible bikes there

I'm sure anyone in NZ would value their VJ23 at $10k min.
And a full power version prob expect a 20% premium when 240kph speedo and CDI can fetch $1000 each
Thats the price of its rarity

In contrast at any one time, there is always at least two RS250 for sale to choose from
