anyone know much about these? work in theory? gimmick? let me know your thoughts people, i kinda need something quick and ez like a backpack and i saw this and thought, mmmk

the problem with a backpack is that when something gets stuck between your jacket and the backpack it can act like an anchor, then try and rip it off. If your straps give way first then cool, otherwise it could be your shoulders.

to put it simple - gimmick.
A back protector helps maintain your backs shape not just for something to skid on.

I didn't click the link (Trade me is on the banned list here in work) - but I;ve got a backpack with an integrated back protector. Made by frank Thomas, part of the companies Cargo range. I placed a link here a while back on a thread of a similar topic, started by Ixion I believe.
Bloody comfy. Don't know if it works though - because I've never crashed while wearing it.....

Think I'd go with a back proctor and a separate pack.
Try to avoid backpacks if I can, crashed with one and it puled the ligaments in my lower spine...
Only hurt lots tho, so not much fun!
