Righto fella’s,

So I bought a lemon. It was cheap, had a faint little hint of compression, and thats about it... bit of fun, trying to tidy it up see what happens ay!

Im trying to track down some new forks for it but for the meanwhile, im going to try save whatever is left of these so i can at least give it a thrash around.

Has anyone seen corrosion this bad before? Im thinking a good clean and sand to get all the flake off, then probably a paint up with some Zinc.
Luckily it has only fcked the top forks and got under the anodized layer. I know sanding will rip the rest of the anodize off but im hoping a bit of Zinc paint might counter that?

Let me know what ya think! Cheers roota’s!

as you said there is an anodized coating on the forks, just get rid of the finish as its already left the building anyway, that part of the fork is strictly decorative.
you could paint it, but i would just buff off the corrosion.

I've seen those forks do that before. Whatever cheese like substance they're made of is fucken junk.
Fully expect them to keep doing it, then snap.

I had some Kayabas like that, the top tubes delaminated. Yet the sliders were immaculate, which is good cos those were the parts I wanted anyway. I guess there is no coming back once they start doing that
