Hi there,

try www.manfeild.co.nz

For some reason its spelt feild instead of field, maybe after their own name - anyone know why ??

What time are the keen people leaving Wellington - could ride up as a group ??

I try to get there before 10.00am.

Sure do. It's made up name (as Deano had surmised) Man (for Manawatu) plus feild from Feilding. One of those tricky NZ placenames (a bit like Lyttelton). The curse of a thousand sub-editors...

on the track to see how much I can handle.

With a bit of luck I'm there for sure. Gotto finish off my rear slick on the four hundred and find that perfect rear shock setting for the 250.

Ok, I didn't find out where exactly it is from the site so where is it? :o

Manfield is just out of Feilding which is just out of Palmerston North. You'd want to leave early if you're coming from the City of Sails.

Should be there. Need to get towbar fitted to the car though. Watch out for the bright yellow SV

No raining on parades here or anything, but I have a sneaky feeling that this event will be canned due to flooding.

The whole and I mean WHOLE track was submerged on Monday and Tuesday and unfortunately, Manfeild has really shitty drainage.

Not that I could go anyway, Brisbane beckons :brick:

SHUT IT!!!!! :kick:
There will be no cancellations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am heading up with a couple of guys that are on my course.
I haven't been able to ride for AGE'S due to a slight disagreement with the law  BASTARDS hehe Oh well
But I will be there, weather permitting and it would be great to meet some of the Wellington components of this site, The Auckland guys are bloody awesome so there is a level to be matched here!!
I will be keeping my fingers crossed for a nice, cool and rain free day.
Hope to see you all there. :niceone:

Damn! I can't make it then or to the L/Hutt on Thursday.

Stinking Harley-Davidson conference :brick:

I promise ya, Mitch. The Wellington crew will be every bit as cool as the Aucklanders. Probably a whole lot better looking too

WT is right, the track has some serious seal damage on front straight. Their web site has some pics.
Bugger, I was planning to go up with 2 others.
For the record they usually have public car&bike days on the last Sunday of the month. These are great value at $10 per session- about 20 minutes which is enough. Any longer and you wear your tyres out and concentration slips. Seems most crashes happen near the end of the sessions. The 29/2 day was just for bikes. Doubt it will happen now.
ps-Hitcher- thanks for the name history- I wondered what was up with the spelling.
